Inter-Acting is a non-profit theater project in which improvisation is used to make children with a form of autism more socially resilient and self-aware.
Exchange ideas with someone, laugh at someone else, feel bond with someone. This seems to go without saying for most of us, but it is not that obvious.
More and more children are experiencing major problems with having a ‘normal’ conversation, they can hardly make friends, and they feel misunderstood and isolated. Everyone knows such a boy or girl who has difficulty with spontaneous interaction and communication, as we know it in ‘normal’ social traffic. They are often children with autistic characteristics.
Inter-Acting teaches the children to interact spontaneously, meaningfully and flexibly through theater and improvisation, in which pleasure is paramount.
